Gallbladder stones
Gallbladder stones, or gallstones, are stones made of calcium and/or bile salts that forms in the gallbladder
or bile ducts.
-
To reduce the gallstones pain trying to get out of the gallbladder, pour and spread equally onto a
handkerchief or cloth 3 tablespoons warm castor oil. Use this as a compress above the gallbladder
(above the navel line and below the ribs on the right side of the abdomen).
-
For acute gallbladder inflammation, fast on strictly water for 2-3 days
until the acute gallstones improves. After the fast, consume beet, carrot, grapefruit, lemon
and grape juice for a few days. Adopt an adequate lacto-vegetarian diet, consisting of raw and cooked
vegetables, vegetable juices, and moderate amounts of fruit and seeds. Also take yogurt, cottage cheese
and a tablespoon of olive oil 2x daily as it stimulates bile and lipase production. Eat small meals at
frequent intervals rather than three large ones. The recommended foods to take would be on rising in
the morning: a glass of warm water mixed with lemon juice and honey or fresh fruit juice which can also
be taken mid-morning. For breakfast: Fresh fruit, 1-2 slices of whole meal toast and 1 cup skimmed
powder milk. For lunch: Big salad with lemon or vegetable oil dressing or vegetable soup and for
dinner: lightly cooked vegetables, baked potato, brown rice or whole heat bread and a glass of
buttermilk.
-
Avoid all meats, eggs, citrus fruits, animal fats, processed and denatured fats, refined carbohydrates,
fried foods, sugar and its products, alcohol, soft drinks, ice-cream, coffee.
-
Drink 4 glasses of apple juice or eat 4-5 apples for the first 5 days to soften gallstones. Eat
normally, just add these quantities of apples to the diet. Don't take any dinner on the 6th day,
instead take 1 teaspoon of epsom salt (magnesium sulphate) with a glass of warm water at 6pm. Repeat at
8pm. This opens the gallbladder ducts. At 10pm, take ½ cup olive oil or sesame oil with ½ cup fresh
lemon juice. The oil lubricates the gallstones, so the next morning it will be easier to pass the green
gallstones in the stools.
-
Drink ½ cup apple cider vinegar 5x in a day. On the next three consecutive days, take a mixture of ½
cup each apple cider and olive oil 5x a day. The gallstones should pass out the day after this routine
is completed (5th day).
-
Take ½ teaspoon blackseed with 1 teaspoon honey and 1 glass warm water every morning before breakfast.
-
Avoid turmeric.
-
Other measures: Apply regular hot and cold towel over the abdomen to improve the circulation of the
liver and gallbladder and flow of bile, or apply a hot pack or towel to the abdominal area to relieve
pain from gallstones colic. Exercise regularly to prevent gallstones from indigestion due to a lazy
gallbladder.
