Gout
Gout is an inflammation caused by excess uric acids in the body, forming crystalline deposits leading to pain
and swelling, mostly in joints.

Apply elm leaf tea to ease gout pain and inflammation areas.

To prevent gout inflammation, take 2gm fish oil capsules daily as part of anti-gout treatment.

Eat black cherries, or take regularly 2-3 tablespoons in concentrate form with a little water at
bedtime. Also can be taken exclusively for 24 hours for an intense gout treatment.

Wrap the gout area with a paste of spearmint leaves.

Take several cloves raw garlic daily, or add minced garlic to a cup of black cherry juice and drink the
potion.

Soak for 30 minutes in a bathtub of water with one-third cup grounded ginger added. Rinse off
completely.

Dab on the joints a mixture of boiled 1 cup water, 1 tablespoon
cayenne pepper and 1 cup vinegar.

Mix 1 tablespoon honey, 1 whole egg and the juice of a thumb-sized ginger. Drink the mixture 2x
everyday.

Mix grounded asparagus seeds, black seed seeds, fenugreek seeds and carom seeds in equal amounts. Take
½ teaspoon of the powder every morning.

Other foods good for gout treatment : cabbage, alfalfa tea, sprouts, fresh citrus juices without sugar.

Avoid all purine and uric acid producing foods such as all meats, eggs, and fish (eg. sardine, anchovy,
fish roe), and especially glandular meats which are harmful such as liver, kidney and brain. Also avoid all
liquors, tea, coffee, sugar, white flour and its products, all canned and processed foods. Use spices
and salts in very limited amounts. Also seafood such as crab, prawn, cockle, shellfish should be
avoided.

Reduce intake of asparagus, spinach, mushroom, nuts, dhal, sapodilla (fruit), apple custard, cereal,
soya products such as tofu.

Other measures : Soak the feet in a foot bath of hot water with ¾ lb. Epsom salt added 2x daily, and a
whole body soak 3x a week, then 2x weekly. Apply cold packs to the affected joints at night. Avoid
stress, and engage in light outdoor exercises taking in fresh air as much as possible.
