For hair loss treatment, take adequate amounts of essential nutrients in the daily diet, particularly
protein found in milk, buttermilk, cheese, yogurt, soyabean, eggs, meat and fish. Take 60gms for women,
80 - 90gms for men and 80 - 100gms for adolescent boys and girls. Take vitamin A as its deficiency
makes hair corse and ugly. Lack in vitamin B, iron, copper and iodine may cause hair loss and and
premature greying. Take foods rich in inositol such as yeast, liver and molasses to prevent hair loss,
although women requires little of inositol and hence increasing its intake should not be a major
concern for them. However, women who take adequate iodine, the B vitamins and iron have healthier hair
since iodine and B1 deficiency slows down circulation to the causing not only hair loss, but slower
hair growth. Adopt a well-balanced diet of seeds, nuts, grains, vegetables and fruits at all times and
supplement with health foods such as milk, vegetable oils, honey, wheat germ, yeast.
